What do I need to order a transcription?
Calculate the price on this page, click “Order with these details” and upload your file (PDF, image, photo or manuscript) in the form. Once you pay, the order gets under way.
Can handwritten or old scores be transcribed?
Yes: handwritten, old or low-quality scans. If a section is hard to read, an additional reference is requested.
Can you transcribe from an audio recording or an MP3?
No: the service always starts from a score (paper, PDF, image or manuscript). The MP3 and MIDI are files you receive with the audio extra, not a starting point.
Which files do I receive?
The MuseScore 4 file (MSCZ), MusicXML and PDF. With the audio extra, also MIDI and MP3. Everything is editable.
How is the price calculated?
Instruments × bars × rate (€0.10 for Basic and €0.15 for Premium), with a 10%, 20% or 30% discount from 80, 160 and 240 bars, plus any extras you choose.
How do I count the instruments?
One per stave: piano and harp count as 2; in a band, one for each part.
How long does it take?
The turnaround depends on the piece: a one-page melody, 1 day; a 64-bar piano piece, 2 days. With express delivery, half the time.
Are individual parts included?
With the “Individual parts” extra, each instrument comes as its own part, ready to print.
Can I ask for changes?
Yes. Basic includes one revision and Premium unlimited revisions: transposition, size, layout or any detail.
What if I am not happy with the result?
Write to info@clavedemi.com: it is reviewed and corrected, adjusted or refunded, as set out in the terms.
Can a specific style be copied?
Yes: spacing, fonts, dynamics or the design of your original score.
What if I have doubts about an option?
Write to info@clavedemi.com with the score and you will receive a quote.
